Foothills Safari Cabins at Fossil Rim

Details

Fossil Rim has some beautiful animals, but the scenic views are no slouch either. Within the facility’s 1,800 acres, there are cabins at Foothills Safari Camp. Just outside the two-acre, fenced area, there are exotic animals in every direction. Guests will enjoy the peace and tranquility of Mother Nature, and at certain times of year, they may even hear a wolf howl or two. After a complimentary hot breakfast, perhaps take a guided tour and learn all about Fossil Rim’s animal conservation efforts. Admission tickets to drive through in your own vehicle are included and could be used on the day of arrival instead of the morning.

Fossil Rim Nature Store

Details

About halfway through your safari drive in your own vehicle, you have the option to head up to the Overlook and visit the Nature Store. It offers a wide selection of gifts and souvenirs to take a piece of Fossil Rim with you. The store has an especially large selection of t-shirts and plush animals. Just like when you buy an admission ticket to Fossil Rim, a purchase from the Nature Store helps with the care and feeding of the facility’s animals.

Fossil Rim Overlook Café

Details

The Overlook Café can help satisfy your appetite after you’ve been working hard feeding Fossil Rim animals. About halfway through the safari drive in your own vehicle, you will have the option to head up to the Overlook (cannot currently reach café without driving through the park). Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the café is open the other five days of the week from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (grill closes at 5 p.m.). The current menu features combos with chips and a drink accompanying the main item. All orders are for pickup only. Guests can either eat at one of the nearby picnic tables or in their vehicle.
